Demko AD10 Titanium Blackout by Cold Steel

Today we are looking at a limited edition Demko AD10 Titanium Blackout from Cold Steel! The Blackout is the 3rd edition in the titanium AD10 series. Previous versions included a titanium stone washed handle and a black titanium handle both with silver satin blades.

All three versions were limited to just one thousand pieces each. Each limited edition AD10 is individually serial numbered. This example is number 6 1 4.

The Blackout version is constructed with black finished, bead blasted titanium scales along with titanium hardware and titanium liners. The blade is a huge chunk of 3V steel finished with black D L C.

You can already see that this knife is big! Let’s talk numbers. . . the blade measures in at 3-1/2″ and 3.8mm thick. The overall length is 8-3/4″ long. This behemoth weighs in at a whopping 9 ounces!

Perched on top of the AD10 is Andrew Demko’s patented Tri-Ad locking system which is arguably one of the strongest locking systems on the market today! It functions much like a lock back but the locking interface it exponentially stronger making the AD10 one of the best knives available for hard use.

The action is extremely smooth right out of the box. The generous thumb studs are comfortable and easily handle front or reverse flick deployment. With some practice you can operate the knife with one hand but manipulating the Tri-Ad lock can put your fingers in harm’s way of the razor sharp blade.

All in all, the AD10 is one of the strongest, hard working knives that you can buy today. If limited editions aren’t your thing, the AD10 also comes in a standard G ten version with S35VN steel and also a lite version with Grivory scales and AUS10 steel. I’m sure any of these versions will out perform your greatest expectations!
